Ok i am still working on this one.  and now have a few questions

The coil,     plug to the front of the car?
what is the Ohms   in the coil,  pin to pin?   or pin to earth?

what is the voltage of the coil.  IE can we dummy up a power supply to get oil though?

again  what voltage should we be reading at the coil,  IE cranking over and foot to the floor.

Lastly,  a supplyer of a ropcv valve please

It will only go on with the socket pointing to the back of the car .

As far as I've found out its  a proportional valve so the coil is using milliamperes  to get the movement not volts like a normal on/off one.

Don't know what readings you should get from a good working one it's normally the % reading on tech 2 that's used to see if the ropcv is working ok, you can do a continuity test across the pins and expect to see no resistance or a low figure..

If you have a good quality multimeter you can couple it in the coil feed set on ma's and see if the readings rise as you crank over, they should as the ECU will increase the ropcv % (fuel delivery) to start the engine.

Use the continuity checker to find which of the wires going to the coil is earth.

I have a good working valve I use for testing so will measure that later on for you.

Reading 10 ohms continuous tone on continuity and 10.3 ohms on resistance test .
