Hi Lads
My 3.1 trooper will run lovely for 5/600 yards then loose power and stall it will restart but will not rev on priming the filter will run again but repeat allover again i i  i have changed the filter but still the same  have blew down the main foel line and the diesel can be heard bubbling in the tank so no blockage ?

Air getting in maybe. They tend to rot where the metal pipes go into the top of fuel tank, check to see if it's damp around that area.

Sounds like the tanks getting air locked. Next time it does it undo the filler cap and see if there's a woosh of air.

Bad ... means the breather is blocked and the tank is under vacuum. The woosh of air is the tank sucking air in via the filler cap.

If the breather is blocked then as it uses fuel it creates a vacuum in the tank. The breather should allow air into the tank to compensate for the fuel going down. The breather is the small pipe that runs alongside the filler pipe to the top of the tank.
