Very Happy Hello all
I have the dreaded 3.0 and have done various works including changing oil pressure sensor etc., but I have now come to the point of glowplugs!!!!
I have had a look and the one closest to the bulk head is not connected as its is short circuit (the middle is loose too!) Has been like this since I purchased the vehicle 5 years ago. I have measured the remaining units and they are Kohms. It wasn't that cold the other day and could not start her even after two/three heat ups. looks like they need changing but I am a little concerned that they may not come out!!

Is there anything I can do to make the process easier or is this just a garage job. I have been quoted £330 by Isuzu garage local to me but even they said it could go pair shaped.

Does any one know of an Isuzu mobile mechanic in Suffolk? before I make the plunge!!

Many thanks for listening

try one of those glow plug removal kits on eebuygum, i think they are about £60 just remove the inlet manifold to gain easier access. if it does go wrong then it's head off job anyway

Thanks Eithan

I have ordered new plugs from Milner's and a can of Loctite freeze-removal and will give it a go!! Nothing to loose.

Mine are snapped so that means the head definitely has to come off, is that correct?
