whats the best product on the market for coolant system leak

think I,m loosing a bit more  water and I,m sure its coming from the front crank case gasket  that the water pump and pullys attach to, same place as before but getting worse.

is there any product worth trying to seal it or slow it down abit

thanks

If gasket has gone then  new gasket . If its a casing issue quicksilver . Pouring stuff in can do more damage than help sometimes  . It just depends how bad the leak but its winter now you don't want a temp fix  that leaks . You want the right amount of anti freeze and water not get you home water that freezes over night

Changing the gasket is the best solution.

Have you checked the pipe that comes out of the head and goes to the turbo ?
Have you checked the "tell tale" hole on the underside of the water pump ?
Is the sound insulation still in place ?

hi Robbo no , I,ve not checked that turbo pipe , is it hidden via the aircon unit

sorry its a 3.1

I ve seen water gathering on top of the casing exactly where the turbo boost pipe clips on , I looked at it before and because it was only a drip , I,ve left it.

anyway since its been a little bit cooler I,ve been using the heaters/ blowers  ( no idea if that would cause it to get worse ) and started to notice more water dripping  down the engine from the same place and then dripping down the other side depending on the angle the car is parked at .

after a bit of research I,m guessing it is coming from that big gasket that covers the front of the enging ( anyone tell me the correct name ) as I said I,m guessing that's where its from because via using a torch and mirror I can see water gathering on that shelf where the vacuum pipe clips on under the thermo housing

Sounds like the same place mine was leaking from, it was the crank case gasket.

yea very difficult to get a pic as its hidden under the overhang of aircon unit and 2 drive belts , I can only see it via a mirror and torch the shelf/ casing gets wet and gathers and then runs down the engine.

unfortunately I think keith might be right , but my god it looks difficult , I think  its beyond my limited knowledge
