It can be a little strange at first... given the right instructors the hobby becomes something of an addiction. It great being underwater somewhere nature di not really intend for humans to be.

eh-up chris, got mi PADI open water ticket, only ever been twice, each for a week. went diving at st george's caye of the central american west coast, (went there both times). it was great, a feeling i've never been able to describe, however i can describe my time on the boat, sick, very sick. i was always the first off and the last back in. got to see some nice wildlife, do it again any time but don't fancy it in our waters.

I've done a bit, did a club med diving holiday in northern spain that was supposed to certify us to some French standard but the written exam was all in French so no ticket. Have also dived in malaysia and on the Barrier reef.

not bad but can get very crowded. An early start is a must or the visibilty becomes zero.
been there when the water was 1 degree and the outside temp was -2. The guy i was diving with at the time was a falklands vet navy diver. He just wasn't afraid of the temp. he just jumped in with no thought for the cold to help a chap who's DV had frozen open. Everyone around was thinking shall i or not. Great mornings dive but suffered a bit with chill blains after

Hi,

Been diving for 16 years, teaching for 10 years BSAC.
This is why we bought a trooper LWB to lug all our kit about, my other half dives as well.

We both used to do a lot of trimix diving off Malin Head in Donegal ( u - boats, Liberty ships etc etc).
Now more into u/water photography.

Dave

Hi
got my PADI Open Water this feb in Jamica
faberlus place to dive, but do it in the mornings as the wind and swell pick up in the afternoon.
was sat on the bottom one day just having a look around while the instructor was seeing to the other learner and this kin huge Baracuda, even allowing for the mask distortion it was 4foot long, just swam over the top of me. Very Happy  Very Happy .

not been since but looking at local clubs longingly.
