Can somebody please help me ? I have a 3.0 Trooper (2002) that is fine apart from when I first start it up. I have already posted the problems about the turbo but there seems to be no problems in this area. My problem is the lack of power, first thing in the morning and the apparent rate of drinking fuel. I am getting about 350 miles from a tank ....Is that good or not ?
I have just found that the rear offside brake caliper was shot and thought this might be the lack of power and the increased fuel consumption as the pads were sticking and yesterday they ignited Shocked ... What do you think ? It does fit the bill for both problems eh !!!!

Any help will be appreciated ... Sad

Just a thought ... If anybody needs calipers then this is a great site and cheap... Isuzu were charging £550 just for the parts... Evil or Very Mad

MOst of the 3.0DT owners suffer a lack of power when cold ... this is partly due to the oil being more viscous when cold (the injectors are fired by a high pressure oil rail).
At this moment there are differing thoughts as to if the injectors themselves are a further cause of this problem. I usually find mine wont pull at all until it has been run for a few minutes.

As for the MPG ... I seem to get anywhere between 300 and 550 miles per tank (ouch cries the wallet).
