Well, the time has finally come to announce the details of our annual Tribal gathering, otherwise known as.....
The ITOC UK Big Bash 2015
The Location: Frickley 4x4 Offroad Centre, Broad Lane, South Elmsall, WF9 2ND
The Dates: Friday 28th August to Monday 31st August 2015 (August Bank Holiday weekend)
...so hurry up and get those holiday forms in if you need to .
Firstly, a HUGE thanks to Jase (Rabbitt) for all his leg work this year finding us a suitable venue, and negotiating a heavily discounted price for the club.
This year as you can probably tell, we have managed to secure the exclusive use of one of the Country's best known off road sites, Frickley 4x4.
The site offers something for everyone in terms of off roading, from easy routes for standard motors, to full on mud runs for the more adventurous. From what I can gather, there will be plenty of opportunity to get the winches working too
If you're new to the club, or even to off roading, this is the perfect opportunity to come along and meet some of the regulars, who will be only too glad to show you the ropes, and just what your Trooper, and even yourselves are really capable of.
The Price: £62.50
This is an all in price, and includes one camping pitch (Tent or Caravan) for the 3 nights (Fri / Sat / Sun), and 2 days (Sat / Sun) full use of the whole off road site. If you consider that most pay n play sites are £25-£30 for one day, then you'll appreciate that this is a good price.
This price however is subject to a minimum turn out of 20 pitches. If we can't make that number, then there is the possibility that the price may have to go up slightly. If we can get the numbers up high enough, then the opposite may be true, although if it is only by a couple then the extra will probably just be put into a beer fund for the Saturday night. so I'm kinda hoping all you regulars can give the club admin a bit of a hand here in boosting the numbers .
If anyone wants to come along for the weekend just to camp (i.e. they haven't managed to get hold of a Trooper or other suitable 4x4 in time , or they just want to come along as spectators and join in the merriments), then the cost for camping only will be £30 for the weekend.
Frickley 4x4 has full facilities, including a toilet / shower block, and we also have the use of their "Granary", which is an old converted grain barn with a wood burner, so if the British weather throws its worst at us we can still carry on indoors ( with the merriments, not the off roading ) .
You lot don't know how good you've got it .
There are 12 Electric hook ups on site, and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so if you want one you'd best be quick .
Of course, as usual there will be........
The Big Bash 2015 BBQ
This year the now legendary Saturday night Barbeque is going to be free for everyone .
This is down to the fact it is being sponsored by the club's one and only Trooperdan (aka Daniel Westmorland) at Independent Isuzu, your first call for all your Trooper spare parts, tyres, engine swaps, and anything else Trooper related.
I will still need to know numbers, purely for the sake of ordering the food in .
As with last years Big Bash, this years will be a ticket only event, purely and simply because it makes life a lot easier for me to organise things, as I know exactly where I'm up to, especially with those who aren't sure if they can make it or not. Again, there will have to be a cut-off date, and this will be 7th August 2015. Tickets will be sent out shortly after this date.
So, if you want to attend then you need to get in touch with me (Steve Gates), either by PM on here, or inbox me on the fb page, or if you have my phone No. then ring / text me.
Details I will need are.....
1) Name and Home address
2) Vehicle Registration
3) Number of Pitches
4) Number of people for each pitch (for ordering the BBQ food)
5) Preffered method of payment (Paypal preferably, but cheques / cash also welcome)
I'm relying on the usual gang to show their ugly mugs this year, and hoping they can try and persuade some of the newer members to come along and join in the fun that is the ITOC Big Bash . _________________

Just to clarify, the EHU's will be allocated when you book / pay, so if you want one let me know, and the first 12 who ask will get one.
Dave Green has already booked one, so there are 11 left. _________________
