I wouldn't fit a gauge to the wastegate personally. When I was messing with my 300ZX Z31 we found two things. 1) the readings were unreliable as it fluctuated too much. 2) you run the risk of not getting a good seal on the actuator pipe and the wastegate not opening when it needs to leading to overboosting and engine/turrbo damage.

Plugging your gauge into a separate feed will give a better reading imho.

I have only fitted analogue gauges to cars and they have been plenty good enough. In fact I have a gauge in the garage which I plan to fit to my 3.1 for giggles once I have got round to removing the EGR's. Just plucking the courage to undoing the bolts for the EGR crossover pipe. They have a knack of snapping in the exhaust manifold. Going to invest in stud extractors before I do anything Smile

I've not seen an electric boost gauge so far  Confused they are all direct reading as most have a vac side on them too.

On a 3.0 it can get teed into the MAP sensor line  and going with the posts on a 3.1 it wants to be in or very close to the inlet manifold or you may get a off reading .

Drill and tap 1/8th BSP (bits for that on eeeebyyguuum ) and use a 1/8BSP taper to 3mm push fit air pipe or buy the kit of ebgum .

Or a windscreen washer pipe T piece into the injector pump boost line .

Hello

Only a brain wave
I've blanked off my EGR on the inlet manifold
What if I made a new plate that would let me add the small pipe to it that would save drilling the manifold
Any feedback from this welcome
