Now some of you know that the injector pump on the 3.1 is the same as a land rover 200 & 300 Tdi but probably with a few more cc's of fuel in the metering ring and it's a popular question about more power from a 3.1 so I think this product should work ?
Yes I know you can tweak the pump but this is fairly cheap and quite easy to do .

I'll buy it if somebody fits it and does a before and after post . Wilky ? Robbo ? Pedro ? _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |

Very interested Mr "G"......I assume ( I've used that word agin ) you set the fuel screw back to stock and adjust on the star wheel ?
Should give better performance at lower boost, how does it cope with higher boost pressure 16psi + ? _________________ Khotso........... |

This will be an interesting watch Simon.
Being that mines a 2.8 Isuzu lumped Frontera, would have needed to check that the fuel pump is the same as that used on the 3.1 Trooper.
Also I've forgotten what my untweeked pump performs like, the last time I put any fuel in it was last November |

The "Gribblepin " ( gonna get flack off Devon 4x4 over that lol ) is on its way to Monsieur Rouge .
There is a whole running frontier LWB with a 2.8 Isuzu lump Tdi in that same breakers yard you came to drive it away 600 quid . _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |

Sure, but I'll try the Gribblepin solo first Which address have you sent it to, Heathfield or Burgess Hill.
Could you explain to me about the turbo and no "vacwac" please Think I would have to look at intercooling though, after fracturing the hybrid 3.0 one I'm now running a stock 3.1 i/c..... _________________ Khotso........... |

Variable vane turbo - like having two turbos so you get boost from about 1400 rpm and once max boost is there the vanes open out so the turbine don't go any faster .
Main advantage is the early power and steady boost figure through most of the rpm range . Good for offroading I rekons .
Just got a Isuzu 3.0 Dmax VT one onto the Mazda lump in the landy But I'm using a pressure actuator not a vacuum one so its adjustable from the seat .
Pm me where the gribblepins going please Ted _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |

That's a fair price Simon for the 2.8 which is the pick of the bunch. The other one to look out for is the 3.2 SWB B series - again Isuzu lump, same as the Trooper. Apparently they go like a rocket and can burn the Corsa boys off at the lights. The only downer is they are more car like with rack and pinion steering and not as robust as the A series. Not quite a Vehicross but the next step down.
Albert and Harold keeping good? |

Whereabouts did you find the boost-controlled VNT turbo? Whats the original application or is it a custom job?
Most seem to be vacuum/ECU controlled. |

Not sure this is a pressure actuator but I have a Greddy one to go on .
Eithan should recognise that _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |

Ah so its a normal vacuum actuated turbo and your going to convert it?
Be interesting to see how you get on, i think it can be quite difficult to get the conversion to work due to how sensitive the VNT mechanism is. |

Seems the way to go is a Dawes valve (1 or 2 ) and a boost controller . Will post up the results soon . _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |

Umm, at the moment no because ole fart A forgot to send it to ole fart B who didn't notice .
Should have some info very soon but I don't see why it won't work in any VE pump. _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |
