I've purchase an Auberins dual gauge and probes to install into an air vent and am curious to know where people have mounted their probes. Note: I have removed the EGR and have blanked the holes

Boost: Tap into the boost line going to the diesel pump OR tap the EGR blanking plate post intercooler OR tap the wastegate?

EGT: Tap the EGR blanking plate OR tap the exhaust manifold?

I am replacing the turbo and it has already been removed. I will be adjusting fuel and boost to suit.

On my Subaru the boost is always taken post intercooler. Are their any pros or cons to doing it this way on the 4JG2?

The line into the fuel pump will bo ok for the boost gauge but the EGT probe wants to be in the exhaust manifold just in front of the turbo inlet for an accurate reading.

Put your egt in to the exhaust manifold where you blanked the egr off and put the boost guage into the inlet manifold where you blanked the egr off at that side.

Thanks Team!

Since the turbo is already out i'm going to tap the manifold just before the turbo.

For the boost gauge i'm looking at the EGR blanking plate off the intercooler. The reason being the sensor has an 11mm fitting, so instead of using reducers to feed the sensor from the fuel pump line I think I might just run an 11mm hose directly off the intercooler.
