|
|
Hi Guys,
Sorry to be a pest but the SEARCH system seems to have crashed on the ITOCUK website.
I seem to get 'Error 404' [Web-Address not found] no matter what topic I put into the 'standard' search window [top-left of page]. It would usually produce a list of Forum topics similar to the item put into the Search Window, with links to each topic in its original place.
Then I tried the 'advanced' Search System [under the main banner] - this failed in a different way - just selecting a word [like REAR out of 'Rear Bumper Removal'] in the topic and returning a huge list of topics which included that word! Naturally, if it's going to search 'willy-nilly' for ANY topic which includes the word 'rear' anywhere in its text, you just get meaningless chaos! _________________ 2002 LWB Trooper 3.0L
I've done some major repairs, including replacing half-shaft, replacing fuel-injectors etc. |

|

The 'Search System' has been improved since yesterday but still seems faulty.
Now it goes to a list-page in the same format as it used to have - but it shows ONLY commercial adverts vaguely relating to the search-topic - with NO LINK to any relevant topic covered in the forums.
What has gone wrong with this feature of the ITOCUK website? The 'Search System' was very valuable indeed - saving hours of manual searching for specific information - now it's useless! _________________ 2002 LWB Trooper 3.0L

All I get on both Chrome and Internet Exploder is the sponsored adverts. No links to the forum. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition
