My 2004 SWB Trooper with transplanted 3.1 diesel has an ongoing running issue; it will start easily from cold, but then run for only a few minutes before apparently suffering ful starvation, and chugging to a halt. Replacement fuel filter has been fitted, and as far as I can see there is no secondary filter fitted inline. One thing to mention is that the trooper has been running on biodiesel, so it may be possible there has been some sludging in the tank, particularly as it was not run regularly for a few months recently. Any suggestions please

My initial suggestion is to fill a jerry can of diesel and run a line from that direct to the fuel pump. If that works, then connect the fuel filter back to the pump and then run from the can again but through the filter. The aim here is to eliminate anywhere it could be pulling air in.
