(early days) after a while ill maybe send for Vauxhall and Saab cards. if anyone near me needs a plug in pm me (falkirk) small fee appreciated to cover initial costs would be good

Hi Drew.
Is it very straightforward to buy your choice of Tech 2 unit and get it working, easily?
Been reading all emails and some sound very off putting!....contacting Isuzu, codes etc.
I was hoping to buy, plug in and get answers, quickly?
Regards, D.

Hi
All tech2s are basically the same I think, just make sure you get the k - line card  with it to communicate with troopers, it's very easy to use asking you what you want to do every step, the card is like a over sized sim card that slots in, it really only gets complicated when you try to code keys and ecu's using tis 2000 pass through (I've not attempted this)but for live data it's excellent, there's a post at the start of the forum giving known good values from a good running trooper which you can use to  compare to your own, I printed it out to keep it handy, easy to code orps and new injectors in and also test them on the car the clone I have doesn't get used that much but it's still working ok.

Ps
Yes as soon as you get it you can plug and play, no code's needed.

the tis that comes with the clones won't work for troopers and you would also need the security cartridge that dealers were given that also doesn't come with the clones

Slightly confusing and possibly deliberately misleading.

Looked up the British-sounding obd2tool.Co.uk  - (noting the uk bit.)

Seems they are actually in China after all.

Yeh, I think they do that to install confidence in the buyer, a bit misleading, in saying that mines is still working ok.
Drew.

Trying to sort another problem ... discovered that - as ever - eithan was spot-on when he said TIS disc sent with clones won't work.

IT WON'T.   It is a disc set up for the North American market and will not recognise UK-format VINs - so utterly useless
