|
|
Due to the nature of why these trucks were probably purchased in the first place - big old farmers or big old lumps to do a rugged job - I don't thing my mate will have much luck finding a replacement drivers seat in good condition.
So the next option is fitting a replacement from another vehicle. Anybody know of a different seat that'll do the job? I did wonder if a Mk4 that as come to a premature ending would be worth investigating but not sure if a reasonable straight fit.
Any advice will be much appreciated. |

Anything Trooper/Bighorn from 1992 onwards should just bolt straight in. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition

My driver side seat was warn, I replaced the lower part with the passenger side. A couple hrs later, the thread bare spot is now in the center and barely noticeable. _________________ TWO Bighorn's a 92 and a 93

Cheers for replys Neal and 45gmc
Neal, by posting Mk4, did I get it right that the latest shape Trooper (3 litre marque) is the Mk4? On that basis, seems the latest model seat will fit into the early second shaped 3.1 models. Dare say this will encompass the petrol models, but it's easier to cross reference the diesel versions. |

Mk.I up to 1991
Mk.II 1992-1994 (mechanical 4wd and older square dash)
Mk.III 1995-1997 (Vacuum operated SOTF front axle, rounded dash)
Mk.IV 1998-2002 (SOTF and revised front end)
Mk.II and Mk.III had the 3.1TD and 3.2 V6.
Mk.IV had the 3.0TD and 3.5 V6.
The body shells for the Mk.II, III, and IV are the same essentially. They just messed around with everything bolted to it _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition
