Increasingly the indicator stalks are starting to cause issues. Most likely it is the contacts corroding. It is quite simple to repair the issue with a bit of graft.

Tools needed:

Philips screwdriver
Flat screwdriver
19mm socket and ratchet
Fine sandpaper (or the other half's nail file emery board type thing)
tissue

1) Remove the steering wheel (19mm socket on the nut). Some wheels you will have to undo the screw at the back of the wheel to remove the horn push inn the middle to get to the nut. Momo wheels (as found on Lotus Editions) you just have to pull the centre off. Remember to undo the nut, but leave it on a few turns. Then grab the wheel either side and rock it as hard as you can while pulling it. It will then give and fly towards you. Without the nut you will now have a broken nose. With the nut still on partially you will be thanking me for leaving it on there. Now remove the nut, but leav the wheel on. Take the permanent marker and mark the wheel relative to the splines so it goes back onto the column in the same place. Remove the wheel.

2) Remove the plastic column cowling. A series of philips screws that go up from underneath. You might have to tilt the steering column to remove the top half.

3) You should now be able to get to the stalk It is held on by 4 screws. There is also a cable connection to unplug. That is cable tied to the column. The cable tie is one of those re-useable ones with a tag that can be undone and put back on again after you have finished.

This is what you should now have:

Next is to take it apart.

4) Turn the assembly over and undo the four screws (marked in red). One is hidden under the black cable. Then gently prise the tabs (marked in blue) out and lift the PCB up. Lift it carefully, keeping the main body level.

5) Now you have to clean and scrub the contacts (marked in red). You may find they are covered in black crusty deposits. Just file/scrape/clean them until they are shiney. Be careful not to lose the rocker one on the PCB (the top right one in the picture with two contacts). It can fall out and get lost.

6) Once happy reassemble and put back on the truck.
