|
|
Hello all,
I am brand new to the world of Isuzu 4x4...
I picked up my 1999 Trooper Citation 3.0 TD 5-Door earlier this week.. It has no Roof Rails, Bars or Rack... The rubber seals have gaps in three places on each side where a previous owner has had something up there.. I need basic Roof Bars at the very least as I often have to tie on gear that's between 3.6 and 4.2 metres long.
Question is.. what am I looking for?..............
a) 3 Roof bars to fit side to side where the gaps are, with a slightly higher mount on the front due to the curve of the roofline?
b) 2 Roof rails that fit front to back and attach at these points, to which I can then attach any bars/racking that suits?
c) New, complete, Rubber seals and then cut them to accommodate whatever racking I decide to purchase?
d) Or something obvious to you that has not occurred to me?
Any advice will be gratefully appreciated.. Especially if it helps me keep to a very tight budget..
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help...
Brendan. |

sounds like it had front to back bars and they have been removed and probably sold on as roof bars for lwb troopers are rare so if you do find some then be quick and buy them! |

Thanks for your wisdom...
Sounds like my chances are better of buying generic cross bars that clamp direct to the vehicle and then sourcing trims to make good rather than finding genuine roof rails... *beep*.
Guess who's spending his weekend at the Breakers' Yards first though. |
