Hi all,

I've recently changed the autobox on my 3.1 TD as I was having problems with the original box not changing into high gear and overdrive, having changed to another auto box and connected the looms to the body loom
I found that the big multi-plug connected together nicely as did the small one but the middle size plug was completely different in shape and size with the body loom having nine wires leading to it but the gearbox loom only having seven? This particular loom goes to the mode switch on the opposite side of where the gear selector rod is.
I have spliced together the wires that matched in colour and trace but I have two wires left over that obviously won't connect to anything, what should I do?  These are a solid red and a Cream with red trace.
I'm getting all sorts of random gremlin issues with the Speedo needle  having a life of its own when the engineer started as well as the odometer racing up and adding extra mileage to my car without even moving an inch!

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm really getting to the end of my stress levels with what seemed to be constant issues with this truck!
