Here she is.

Been through the mill lately.

I replaced the rear cross member last year, the leafs and shockers all round.

She had fist sized holes around the back windows.

She works for a living, as I do about 1000k a week towing nearly two ton.

But a nice project, and a great car.

hiya mate, my search went cold when mi engine went *beep*, the best and closest i got was la supertrux, 01327 705456. i spoke to a lady who said they did full arch extension for the mk 1 and also fender flares like yours. she was getting back to me with some photos but never did, chase that one up mate and let me know how you got on.

Nice ride, my Trooper is the same exact silver color and a 4 door. The lights across the top are trail-looking too. How many miles do you have on it?

157,000 miles.

The lights are a great help when towing, as you know the absence of a dash adjuster coupled with what seem to be 1watt bulbs Laughing leaves a bit to be desired.

How do these things go for towing?

When I had the 2.6 Petrol I towed a shed, and had the back loaded up with old steel and concrete, not a problem. Yet to tow anything with the 2.8TDI, will be lugging heaps of gear around in about 2 weeks so will be good to hear what it should go like.
