OK I admit it .
One of the perils of a drawn-out rebuild is that you forget where wires go ...
On the nearside of the 4JX1 engine harness there are a mass of connectors.
The vast majority are easy to reconnect.
I have to ask :- there are 2 uninsulated wires with ring terminals (about 8mm ID).
What are they fixed to ? Please.
(I have studied a lot of photos and the huge pdf Manual - but not yet found the answer) |

Nothing quite like answering your own questions !
Found this on one of my earlier posts - "There are two earth connection bolts on the nearside of the iron block, a 12mm holding two ring terminals to the rear and a 14mm holding a battery-sized cable to the front."
Now to go and look again at the engine ... _________________ 02 3.0 Trooper

Got 'em both done.
As ethan says, rear earths are a bit awkward. I used a 12mm 1/4" socket set up with a swivel.
I had tightened the original bolt finger tight after initial removal - so was not immediately obvious it was 'available/vacant'.

Apologies to Eithan - I have a nasty feeling I've typed "ethan" a few times. _________________ 02 3.0 Trooper
