Please please before i go out there for hours with a multi-meter someone tell me theres a known fault with an easy fix
Brand new alternator, previous owner says the battery is relatively new aswell, voltage rises from just over 10 to 12 volts when engine revved but it should be around the 13.5-14volts _________________ 1994 white Bighorn 3.1TD (4JX1) Irmscher edition |

The inbuilt volt meters are not very accurate, check with multimeter first. If still only 12v check the belt is tight. |

Possibly previous alternator has damaged the battery, if possible check with another battery. |

checked for a drain with multimeter, all good, found the charging relay in the fusebox in engine bay, when i touched it the charge went upto 13.4volts, took it out but looks ok but have ordered new one incase contacts are going a bit dry inside. Hopefully i've sorted it
Thanks for your help _________________ 1994 white Bighorn 3.1TD (4JX1) Irmscher edition |
