Looking for non genuine handbrake cable for drivers side. A supplier says their book shows one "with wide track" and one "without wide track". I have never heard of this, does anyone know what it means?

3.0l - Is that an 'l' for Long Wheel Base?

If so mine being a 3.0 D DOHC Turbo Citation LWB 2003 will be "with wide track"?

no it's an l for litre

all 3.0l are wide track which is the distance between the wheels on each axle hence the 3.0l has the plastic wheel arches as it has a wider track than the old 3.1

I am getting varying prices for handbrake cables.
Genuine £78.32 + VAT per side.
Non genuine from my usual supplier £38 + VAT per side
Milner £15 + VAT per side although I need R/H and they only have L/H in stock.

I am liking the Milner price, anybody used Milner h/b cables before? Are they up to the job?

Easy way to see if the axles are 'widetrack' is to look at the outer ends of the rear axle tubes, you will see the extra spacer welded onto the standard casings  Wink

Thanks for that.

Having a real problem finding a pair of non genuine cables. Milner have LH but no RH, they have been out of stock for ages and I cannot wait any longer as MOT is due soon. Other local parts factors have non wide track but not wide track. Any ideas where I can get them form?
