Hi there, can anyone recommend a decent price winch and winch plate that would fit behind the front bumper? I’m having a go at some light off roading at my local place but want to be self sufficient at getting unstuck if need be lol. Nothing crazy or overkill, just enough to do the job. 2002 swb

First question is budget?
Base line I would say the entry level 12,000/13,000 lbs winches are more than adequate for your purposes. Around the £300 mark.
What you don't want to do is go for the a lot cheaper 3,500 lbs winches. They are okay for flat hard surface rolling. If you're bogged down or slipped off the side you'll want something a lot more substantial like the initially mentioned.
As for the tray loads of options off the shelf for around the £50-75 mark, but it's the fixing that will need more thought. Are you quite handy with the spanners? For optimum efficiency will need fixing at chassis level. Might be worthwhile contacting Dan at Independent Isuzu to see what they can offer.
