|
|
Hi all,
Been getting diesel in water and water in diesel tank, so assumed to be injector sleeve seals. Anybody in Devon got a puller I could hire Please? When I do get them out is there any reason why I cannot use Viton o-rings of the correct size, or have Isuzu made their seals out of unicorn fart and hen's teeth?
Any comment of help would be very welcome |

Managed to get the sleeves out with a puller I knocked up with an anchor bolt and some scrap, without any damage to anything. What tips are there for re-installing the sleeves, what should Iube the new seals with etc. How does the sleeve seal in the head where it goes through to the combustion chamber? |

they need to be tapped back in to place and remember to line up the holes in the head with the holes in the sleeve, it's an interference fit and i use a smear of rubber grease but you can use a smear of oil or diesel or antifreeze |

Would silicone grease on everything be ok as I know its O-ring friendly, would it be ok on the interference fit parts also? |
