It´s beaten me. I´ve changed the camshaft sensor and the ORPS and now it starts and runs from cold but won´t  start when hot. My sense of humour is suffering. Does anyone have any ideas, desperation is setting in.Love to hear any ideas anything up to but excluding dynamite.

I wish I lived near Old Mill Motors, unfortunately I live on Fuerteventura where no-one ever heard of "tech 2" and very few have heard of Isuzu.

Hi,
It's a shame your post wasn't a couple of weeks ago, I'm in lanzarote for a couple of weeks on holiday,, could've brought tech 2 and popped over and did a reading, sods law.

Unbelievable, My Isuzu was taken to a "specialist" garage in Puerto del Rosario where it stayed for 4 months until they said they couldn´t do it.
I had it brought back home and a friend who worked for BMW changed the camshaft sensor and the ORPS and everything seemed fine.

Feeling optimistic I took some friends to the airport and it ran perfectly,I stopped for fuel on the way back and it wouldn´t start. Next morning when cold it started perfectly, drove 5 miles and stopped, no start again so something must happen when it gets hot.

All this started in July last year when it just stopped as I was driving just as if I was out of fuel. This started happening more and more until finally it wouldn´t start at all.

Now my pride and joy is in Corralejo 100 yards from where the Lanzarote  ferry docks and I´m afraid to use it.

It´s a cruel world!!!

Cam sensor switches off when they start so they don’t cause cutting out, hot cutouts can be a sign of the orcv failing or at least the coil winding around it.
