Hopefully I am not the only Trooper owner who has had this problem ...

Was driving through Liverpool [OK I got very lost - another story], found myself near Toxteth, stopped at lights.
Dodgy looking characters on pavement (& I had a large amount of money in an envelope on passengers seat) - so I made the huge mistake of locking both doors (two door) by using the buttons on the doors rather than the switch.

Outcome was the drivers door button stuck down - and nothing would release it.
So, later on,  had to climb out of passengers door which unlocked normally on both the key fob and the switch.

Any (polite) suggestions as to how to unlock the drivers door ?

Well ... here's a first !!

Anyone interested in the only self-healing Trooper in the world?   [Only joking]

24 hours after the day's issues with a totally stuck/locked drivers door - I tried the fob before commencing climbing in - and the door unlocked normally !!
I had done nothing to it for 24 hours - just left it parked.

VERY odd - having tried key fob several times, door switch several times, key in door lock, internal handle/ button etc., the day before
and nothing but nothing would unlock it, so I gave up for 24 hours.

VERY, very, strange - but boy am I glad it has fixed itself.

[might take the door card off and liberally spray lubricant - just in case that contributed to the problem ...]
