I have a '57 reg rodeo. Recently the dashboard illumination seems to have gotten dim when I switch the headlights on. The brightness switch works as the clock gets brighter and dimmer just not the main dash lights. Tonight the battery indicator warning light came on. Nothing stopped working. I have checked the belt and its fine as is the wiring to it. I checked the fuse box and the four wheel drive fuse had been removed. I replaced it and my sidelights came on! Funnily enough the four wheel drive started working as it should! But the sidelights stayed on. They were switched off. I removed the fuse, the sidelights went out but tv e four wheel drive is now not working. I put a voltmeter across the battery and it was reading 12.2v. Does this sound like a alternator issue? Or could there be something else going on as well? Any help appreciated.
