|
|
Hi guys, I recently fitted a 2nd gearbox and noticed it had one less sensor in the front of it, I left it out as was short on time, then noticed at 70mph the ABS light came on which has never done before. I put the sensor in and connected it back up but the same thing is still happening. Ive crossed pin 4 and 12 on OBD port and get 1 flash followed by 2 flashes of ABS light so code 12. Any help please?
Thanks in advance

I never knew you had to leave for the second set of codes, I got code 23 after the initial code 12.
Thanks

thats transmission input abnormality, can you check that the sensor you fitted actually reaches the rods in the gearbox and there isn't an extension piece that has to go in first |

I never noticed on old gearbox and that's long gone. Will have to take console out and use a meter.
Is there a way to find out if there is a part that goes in there? |

just look in the hole and gauge if the sensor looks like it will reach the rods inside, i remember a gearbox where it had an extension piece that people forgot but i can't remember if it's the trooper it might have been a subaru. |

Took console out again and tested, switch is not working. Works when pushed, so my question is does an earlier gearbox not support this abs switch? Or should there be something in before switch. I have looked in manual and cant find anything! Never noticed anything in broked gearbox. |

Looks like there should be something in hole I think. I've got switch out again gunna take prop and exhaust off to see if I can get access and measure depth. Ive scoured workshop manuals but cant find this switch, just a blanking plug, and no sign of a spring, pin, ball bearing. |

I had a look today and the one I checked it was just a hole with the rod behind and the switch worked straight off the rod there’s was no other pin in there |
