Hello there,

I find myself struggling to identify a green little box near the wiper motor which once was provided with hoses and possibly a small plastic filter which fell off the engine and got lost somewhere. The little green plastic box has two nozzles which were probably connected with rubber hoses + filter circuit. The closest thing I have come across on the internet is a clear diesel fuel inline filter but I totally ignore how to connect the pipes as I have not seen this in any engine picture clearly. A functional graph/diagram or picture would help a lot. Is it a crucial part to have in place? I see my engine starts anyway. Thank you for your help.....I forgot to say. I am looking at 1996 Vauxhall Monterey 3.1td

Sorry guys I am a newbie on fixing cars. I now understand I have to rebuild the Vacuum control solenoid circuit of valves and pipes, just the bit by the wiper motor side. Can someone show me a clear picture of how I should connect valves, filters and pipes? thank you.... and yes the 4wd green light is steady on my dash. 4wd won't engage. all the pipes rubber was perished and pipes and filters missing. thank you for your help
