So after my alternator woes getting sorted I found several things had stopped working. The cab fan was a worry so I had the dash apart to find it actually did work and was probably a tired connection somewhere that got sorted when I was dismantling the dash.
So lots of things weren't working. Rear window wiper, headlight adjustment, rear window heater, 4WD, both front electric windows, both wing mirror heaters and front windscreen wash/wipe.
I was already to start testing buttons and hoping the wiring was ok as to replace anything duff was going to be a nightmare.
So I thought I'll check all the fuses just to be on the safe side as it's the easiest and quickest way to find out if there's a problem.
There was - It was marked as the Headlight Wash* and was a 15a fuse. After I had replaced it with a new unbroken one, everything lit up and would work as they should.
*Not fitted on this model
Much relief and embarrassment as the issue had been there for several weeks and all it was was a little fuse.
I imagine the fuse is to more than one relay but it's annoying it's not marked as such. |
