Good evening all. Glad to have joined the forum!  Smile

I've just bought and imported to France a 2011 Rodeo Denver Max + 3.0 Auto with about 40k on it and I'm very pleased with it. Decided to go Japanese after four American pickups for a change.

Having a couple of issues after a couple of weeks of ownership, they might be related I'm not sure. The fuel filter warning light is coming on more and more frequently even under moderate acceleration or going uphill say to join a dual carriageway/motorway so I'm driving very light-footed at the moment. I've ordered a replacement filter even though the garage I bought it from (a reputable one) assure me they changed it during prepping the vehicle for sale, it should arrive early next week and I'll get it swapped at a local garage.

Secondly it's proving very hard to get diesel in the tank without the pump clicking off constantly. I have to hold the nozzle at an odd angle and nearly out of the filler neck in order to be able to put the fuel in slowly. There is the expected sucking in of air when I unscrew the fuel cap. The garage had the vehicle undersealed and I wonder if perhaps the underseal might have clogged the fuel breather pipe behind the wheelarch? Would this also cause too much of a vacuum meaning the engine has to work harder to suck the fuel from the tank, triggering the warning light?

Any advice appreciated!  Very Happy
