Autobox lock-up on my 98 3.1td Bighorn has stopped working. It was working yesterday morning, went out in the afternoon and it wasn't! Fluid level and condition is good as I changed it about 6000ml ago.

I'm thinking that it is either the lock-up solenoid sticking (or dead) or a bad electrical connection.

Interestingly,I am not getting a flashing check transmission light.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Presumably driving any distance without lock-up is going to overheat the autobox?

Tracked the problem down to a non functioning A/T fluid temp sensor.

Problem now is finding one!

Anyone got any suggestions?
