Hi all, newbie with a question

I have a 99 Duty with a lot of play in the steering column upwards and downwards movement, is this a bearing or is it normal play in the steering rake adjuster.

Can anyone help

Rich

Just thought i would post the results of an investigation into the play in the steering cloumn, took the dash apart last weekend and found one of the two bolts securing the coloumn to the body missing?

The main dealer advised a new bearing at £105.00

each bearing has a reference number stamped somewhere on it. look on the internet for bearing suppliers and qoute the number their price will be stupidly cheap compared to main dealer.   The number will reference the bearing dimensions. id, od, thickness and actual bearing size
