Hi has anyone tried an inline vegetable oil heater (like the ones you see on eebuygum) regarding using SVO. (Straight vegetable oil.)? _________________ I DIDN'T TOUCH IT, HONEST!

Not tried that one mate .
I made my own from a few bits from plumbers merchants . Same idea , though only used one glow plug. Its been on my 2.8td for over 12 months with no probs . |

thanks for that,
you can get the same kit with one plug, or have one plug connect at once.
Does you use the warm water method aswell? _________________ I DIDN'T TOUCH IT, HONEST!

The 3.1 will run happily on a 50/50 mix,
If you want to use more on this engine, then fuel pre-heat is required. _________________ I DIDN'T TOUCH IT, HONEST!

Lynn, I presume you have/do use 100% veg oil. Would you know if there are any rubber seals in the fuel system ie the pump or are they synthetic????
thanks keith |

Its got to be treated, my wife normally gives it a ride in a taxi home as a treat
But i wont do more than 50/50 myself, its not worth risking the seals.
And also mine is an old car, if i pop the engine its only 3-400 to sort it with another car. _________________ |
