I had the same problem when we swap engines, and it was just air still in there, keep cracking the injectors.
BTW what was wrong with the other engine ? |

ok it revs up now ........but it stalls when i take my foot off , oh yes it is also chucking out alot of smoke . now i must admit that although i am a mechanic i would class my self as a novice when it comes to diesel's so sorry if i sound as if i don't know what im doing .
i must admit that i have impressed my self with what i have done so far as i have not been looking forward to this at all , i supose this is what happens when you are a petrol head at heart.
ps, i do appricate your help thanx very much markymoan, siweb and any one els that can help .

Hoping its not a tooth out its just a few mins to set the pump to your liking,
Theres a link on here somewhere with the pdf manual for the 2.8.

it is a little , spits a few spots of oil as well, but not real bad, not enough to say the rings have gone. |

Could be allsorts mate, maybe the injectors arnt atomising properly, if they dont it will struggle to run.
Its hard to say over the net, it needs looking at by a diesel fitter. _________________ |
