My fan has stopped and I now have a number lights on my dashboard. Have seen similiar problems posted but the alternator is charging and I have changed the blue charging relay, which worked for 30 minutes before packing up. has any body got any further ideas. My truck is a 91 trooper 3.1 and is uk spec. help |

Hi, its the alternator for sure, I had the same problem and replaced it with a second hand one( stupid mistake) now this has decided to pack in.
If the alternator is not putting out enough power the warning lights come on, if you rev the engine and the alternator is putting some power out they will go out. But if the alternator is putting out too much power it will blow the blue relay and give you the warning lights and no heater blower.
Have your alternator checked to see if its putting out too much volts, which will cause it to blow the relay and in time damage the battery. |
