Pain in the ass as the chop will have to be in the middle. Making sure its square will be the tough one and also if noticed on a MOT without supporting documentation will instantly fail and possibly instigate a VOSA inspection.

So over the years you could bodge up an old chassis with patches until all the chassis had been replaced? Bet they would fail a homemade wishbone over a second hand one?

Homemade is fine so long as you have a supporting VOSA inspection .. much like you do with kit cars.

Technically a complete chassis change should always be followed by a VOSA inspection ... unless the reg plates and engine of the original chassis go with the donor chassis. Its to prevent cut and shut jobs Wink
