I don't hang around any more, not good for the nerves. Just leave it now and go back an hour later for the result. Never failed an MOT in my life though . Touch wood. _________________

I have had a few fail... on either rust that needed welding or the classic - i forgot to check the lights on my Volvo 850 and it failed on about three lamps _________________ Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE | 265/65R18 BF Goodrich AT LTM No.60

I've given up hanging around as well, I go for a walk if its not local or something. I think I can safely say I've had more fail than I've had pass first go but thats the peril of running classics/old bangers! _________________ Phil

I have two on mine... if you were to get run over you would see the plastic one under the engine then alloy one a bit further back. _________________ Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE | 265/65R18 BF Goodrich AT LTM No.60

OK, there are 3 in total. The front one is a heavy duty steel one that wraps up under the front bumper. The second one is a plastic / GRP one that has an air scoop in it that is superb for gathering tons of mud and pressing it firmly against the engine sump . The third one is made from 2mm aluminium and is about as much use as a blancmange bull bar, and has soundproof padding on its upper side . I think this one only serves to stop you seeing what a wierd and wonderful design the exhaust downpipe is, coz it bends the minute it comes into contact
with anything.
My old 2.8 had proper steel protection, and one day I intend to make some steel ones for this motor. _________________
