(note to admin - already cleared this with Simon)

Hi Guys,

If any of you are local to Chorley, Lancashire and are too tight to pay to see a professional Fireworks display please have a look here....

www.redbankbonfire.co.uk

The event is run by Red Bank Scout Group, Chorley (lancashire) and is put on to raise funds for equipment, trips and camps etc.

Entry to the event is FREE  Very Happy  Very Happy
They do ask for donations to cover the cost of the Fireworks and raise money for the Scout Group.

The Fireworks display is run by trained experts and together with my guys put together a massive professional size display backed up by around 20 minutes of exciting music!

Refreshments will be on sale (tea, coffee, black puds, hot dogs etc etc)

more info see www.redbankbonfire.co.uk

Same night! Only they charge ££££ to get your family in - we only ask for donations to cover costs and help fund the scouts during the year!

Months, I thought us men stopped with counting our ages in months when we got to double figures. These days I just try to ignore a few years and hope no-one will notice.

For the peeps who are coming next weekend here are a few pointers!

Wrap up warm, put on yer wellies & waterproofs!

Bring big pockets full of loose change - the Scouts put on the event for free but do ask for donations to cover the cost of the fireworks and also raise money for new camping gear.

There are no private fireworks or sparklers allowed due to Health & Safety restrictions.... however there will be glow bands on sale for the kids.

Hot & Cold refreshments are on sale - including black pudding & peas.

Directions - if you are travelling by car its best to park anywhere on my road then its a ten minute walk to the Duxbury Jubilee Park

Gates open at 6pm, fire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks towards 7.30pm

See you there! And be sure to look out for my Trooper hard at work... I have got two box trailers full plus a 40kva genny etc etc etc to move each way on the weekend. I will be there running the techie side of things which will include 20kw PA system, 600m+ cabling and around 15kw of lighting  Rolling Eyes

Hi Marky,

I think we will be fine - I have got a few lads working with me on the day, each comes with a 4x4  Smile

Most of the shifting will be done first thing in the morning, almost in convoy so it leaves us the whole day to rig up the PA system etc (just the PA fills a 10x6ft Ifor Box Trailer!)
