hello, i have a 2.8 td 4jb1 in my landy with the original alternator, is there any way to fit the original isuzu rev counter or another one?

thanks mate, its not that thats the problem i have, the original rev counter has a pos and neg for the back lights and a yellow pos+ wire and a wire marked p ?
the alternator has three exit wires, i think the larger middle wire could be an exciter wire? the problem is that in my landrover i have only the engine/alt and no other original wiring, I think when it was in the isuzu, there might have been a few other electrical items involved in the circuitry of the tacho?

the conection for the rev counter is on the back of the diesel pump. |

theres a couple on the back of the pump, i think two of them are on the microswitch on the pump, there must be another one?
what are the 3 on the alternator?

dont know m8 but the rev counter wires are just below the micro swicth. |

there are two to the micro switch and two more to the sensor just below it . the wires should come round from the back to where the steel pipes come out of the pump. |

thanks mate, any idea whether they both go to the rev counter or whether one is a feed(pump input) and the other goes to the rev counter?

yes one is the ign live the other is to the tacho but dont know which.got to go got work in the morning by for now m8. |
