A friend of mine with a garage has got a 3.0 trooper in with the usual engine trouble and because it has done 100k and hasn't got a fsh the local dealer doesn't want to know ! ! any ideas . also does anyone tell me where the 16 pin diagnostic socket is  Wink

Don't know about the 3.0 deisel but on my 93 petrol its in the engine compartment on the drivers side wing right at the back to the left and behind the brake reservoir.

Put your hand down towards the clutch peddle, the connector is behind the black plastic trim to the left of it.  Should just pull out round the back of it.  The trim is part of the central console.

Regardless of the service history etc its worth checking this one with IM (Isuzu) directly ... if its due to a missing recall or something they may offer some form of half way deal.

Cheer's fella's , apparently the dealer (monty's of Sheffield) said if it had done 60k with fsh they would put a new engine in but because of the milage they don't want to know , but surely if IM are sorting all the problems out what's it got to do with the dealer , I'll let you know what happens
