Hi,  I've recently purchased a 6 year old 3.0ltr TD Trooper, with 65,000miles on it, and after only a week, the blower suddenly stopped working.
I've read through the topics previously posted and seen similar problems, where the advice was to change the charge relay.
I've since changed the relay and the 25amp fuse, but still not working.

Can anyone offer any advice.

I assume we are talking about the heater blower.  In which case it only works when the engine is running, on mine anyway.  Is everything else electrical working correctly, especially things which turn on with the engine?
As you've checked the obvious things, i'd start with the earth connections, making sure they are clean and greased.  Then move on to the connectors in the wiring loom.  Pull them apart and spray with wd40 or electrical contact cleaner and re-fit.
Sorry that's the best i can come up with at the moment.

I dont know if it is, but the 3.0 has a known heater problem thats on recall, something to do with the wiring or the ceramic heater.

the problem with the ceramic heater would not affect the blower

the connectors in the wires leading to the ceramic heater are known to corrode and could possibly cause a fire  so to cure this the connectors are cut off and the wires are lengthened and crimped directly together

you need to find out if there is a live feed and an earth at the blower motor if not work back towards the controls

if there is live at the motor the motor is u/s

Thanks for the advice.

The problems actually getting worse.

The 4x4 light is now flashing all the time and the hazard warning lights don't work, but when indicating all indicator lights are flashing.

I took it into Isuzu this morning and they have referred me to an auto electrician who can't fit me in for a fortnight.

I've checked the heaters and they are working fine.

Going by previous postings, it's looking more and more like an alternator problem.

Just to inform people that the Trooper is now sorted. An auto electrician found a fan bush seized due to condensation. He's near aberdeen if anyone's needing his number. Seems very good.
Thanks for the advice though.
