Hello all, I am a new 3.2L SOHC Trooper owner and I am attempting to drain coolant. Does anyone know where the drain plug on the block is located?  Question

Yes..that's it. I just want to make sure I get all of the fluid out of the block...so I guess I have no chioce but to remove the bottom hose off the radiator. So do you just let your truck idle until no more water comes out of the block?

there should be a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator near the bottom hose

if you need the inside of the engine dry then run untill its hot open the drain plug and then take off the rad cap the heat from the engine will dry the residual water from inside the block DO NOT RUN IT while draining

BE CAREFULL  when opening drain and rad cap while hot

I agree. I am sure there is a plug too (as it says there is) but I think you would have to take the engine apart to get to it. Well... not really but basically its a *beep* to locate so go the bottom hose. Take the radiatar cap off too {after you have loosened it) or else the vacuum pressure wont let you remove the hose.
