I'm going just to find out if there is enough good offroading for me to spend some time there next year. It will be a stepping stone to getting into Russia, Belarus etc. which I have lusted after for a couple of years.

Only spending 3 days this time with a forrest official & an offroad club showing me what there is available, but keeping fingers crossed, i've got some excellent contacts there.

One of my trialling mates is booked in for the Transylvanian Adventure Trophy next year in his 90. What do you reckon to trying it in a Troop?

Also had a very interesting call today from my man who talks to the forrestry officials. Seems that providing it's not springtime, any part of any public (state owned) forrest can be driven whether there is an existing track or not! Sounds a bit Camel Trophy time to me Twisted Evil

Problem with Rainforest Challenge is getting a car there, long long way to take it on a trailer & some pretty unstable countries on the way too! I would think shipping container would be the only way $$$$$$

I was talking to Ray (REICHEW) when I took him to get his Trooper back last week. He's from Singapore and has done a stage on a moto, said it is awesome and particularly extreme. He was also thinking of taking his Troop back with him when he returns but didn't fancy driving any further than Turkey beacuse of all the chaos in the world.

Fingers crossed for Lithuania, a lot cheaper and only 2 days driving to get there Wink

Hey guys,
Are we talking hardcore stuff here!??

If you do organise the trip to Russia, when would that be??

These are 2 different extremes here, with the Rainforest Challenge and the Russian outback! You have the red mud and you have the black mud, there is the extreme freezing cold and the leeches and heat. I missed the jungle...

I was just reading the route for this year's RC in Malaysia. North MAlaysia bordering Thailand has one of the most dense forest and perhaps the hottest of all areas. This time of the uear is always full of rain, and very unforgiving rain! The fun thing is  there will be full flowing waterfalls with ice cool refreshing waters! Great for a dip...  mann, I miss home!

Well Jon, you have fun in Lithuania. If you decided to drive to Malaysia next year for the RFC, I'll meet you either in China for India, and we can travel south together.

I may have to put my overland journey from UK to Singapore on hold for the time being... but it will be done soon... 100%

Any vacancy for your sighseeing trip??

Ciaooo
Ray
