Ray...just got back so you missed out! Toyota man was a no show but the offroad club came good with a trip to a military area. They use it for extreme challenges and it is really a winch only area. We cooked one and the other was playing up so only got about 5k of travel inside the forest! They hadn't brought enough equiptment, not expecting to need chainsaws etc but we walked a lot of the ground to see what else was available & it awesome.

Excellent semi virgin ground inside the natural forest area controlled by the gov. Tracks that are used by machinery probably once every 10 years so they revert to nature. Lots of water due to the time of year and activities of Beavers add that together with deep peaty soil and you can imagine the stories about cars being submerged to the roof are perfectly believable Smile

Planning another recce probably after Christmas, got to get the mother in law & USA trip out of the way 1st. Will take one of my cars this time, compelte with every piece of recovery gaer I've got. Looks to be 2 day journey about 2000km across Europe just a bot expensive on fuel.

There is also an area cut right across the country where they installed a gas pipeline which is kept clear & you are free to drive this whenever you want.

Saw 4 Troopers but none of them were muddy Crying or Very sad
