Can anybody please tell me the capacity of oil (5W30) for a 1999 3.0td 4jx1 engined Trooper with:

1. Main oil filter and oil change.
                           And
2. Main oil filter, injection system filter and oil change.

All replies much appreciated!!!!

My dealer gave me the 'Mushroom Treatment'.... Left me in the dark and fed me full of sh*t!!!!! The nice people that they are!!!

Hi
6.0 ltrs exactly with filter change
we always change an oil filter with the oil
the fuel filter is only for fuel nothing to do with the oil service
regards

i think you are getting the 3.0l and 3.1 mixed up the 3.0l is defo 7l whilst the 3.1 is 6l and the the 3.0l does have a filter to filter the oil to the injectors

Not sure whether this is the right place to ask a question but it relates to oil change so here goes.
Looking to do my very first oil change on my 2000 Trooper and following advice on this site just bought some GM Super Synthetic 5w/30 oil, ok so far I think?
With regard to the filter went to Halfords this morning and was quoted £23.95 but have seen some elswhere for a lot less, £5.95 plus £1.95 postage. Is the cheaper version likely to be of an inferior quality and not up to the job, or am I too sceptical? Where is the best place to get these items?
Any advice would be welcome please?
Thank you

Sound like "halfords" are just taking the mickey to me...!

If you look at online places like Milners their filters are normally £5-£10

Thanks very much for the prompt reply. Milners sell a complete filter kit for £10, quite a difference to £23.95 for one!
I only asked the question because I saw on an earlier post that someone had paid £22 for an oil filter and thought that was the normal price.
Thanks again.

autodata manuals or there cd`s have lots of mistakes in them

"they say R12 for the aircon on all troopers "
and most vehicles were changed to R134a by 1990   just one example

it even states it in the manual as 6l but put 6 in and it only fills it about half way between the min and max marks so even isuzu can't get it right!
