Hello people. as i am new to the Trooper and this is my first automatic. Should i be using the overdive as an engine brake?
In the book, it says to only use overdrive on the open road. But when i break to slow down i take the ovedrive out creating engine brake like a manual. Someone has told me i should break to slow speed then take out the overdrive as to not damage the automatic gearbox. Is this true?

That's the first lesson you learn as a Police driver!!!!

Use the brakes!!!! It's cheaper. Wink

However, horses for courses, would you rely on the brakes with 2 tons underneath you and 2 tons behind you going down a long steep hill? I think not.... Shocked  Shocked  Shocked
