So, what are these big 'orns like then for rot? Are they pretty hardy?
Mine is an M reg, and I have to say, body work looks great.

the bighorns should have less rust trouble than the trooper, simple reason being is no salt on japanese roads. i had a look round a dealers that specialises in jap imports and even his older cars (92/93 pajero's and bighorns) looked like they had just rolled off the production line, even the chassis's and axles were in there original black paint. |

If they do rot anywhere it will be the backend of the chassis after years of british weather. _________________ Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE | 265/65R18 BF Goodrich AT LTM No.60

my 1996 mk2 has a rotten holed front cross member - but it cant usually be seen even by MOT tester - till I took the bumoer off to fit an ARB winch bumper - now ive got to have it fixed
gonna get a new one fabricated from scratch in new steel and welded in to make it double strong
car has only 2 owners - lowish miles and very good bodywork - all other parts of chassis are great
so if you look at one - get a torch and check the front cross member |

They are mostly very clean and rust free, but if you plan to keep it for long, plan to Waxoyl it.
They do have some underseal on, but it it's not a full seal.
I do believe they do use salt in Northern Japan but not in the South. _________________ 1999 Cougar with a NICE motor..

Hose the chassis through first and let it dry, you dont want the nasty salt trapped _________________ |

No, I don't think so,
Further North gets you closer to Russia and Alaska.
<Pauses to check Google Earth>... well it was 45 years ago at least I last went to school you know...
No, definitely getting cooler the further North you go..... _________________ 1999 Cougar with a NICE motor..
