Does anyone know if  the front and rear diffs are the same?

I have a 94 LWB Duty and therefore the rear is an LSD.

Can I put one in the front axle?

I think the front is known as an Isuzu 10 bolt and the back is known as an Isuzu 12 bolt.

They are not interchangeable to the best of my knowledge.

Did all Duty's come with LSD? I think the code for it is G80..

Apparently you can fit a locker to front axle but it has to have the auto hubs changed to manual.

The Yanks know most about this stuff plus they have a lot of aftermarket cheap gear available for their Troops.

Here's a very informative site....you'd have to be careful of the models though as they are different to ours....there's even some diesel tech as well. It's a bit annoying seeing how cheap some of their off-road performance stuff is... Evil or Very Mad

I can't see why the auto-hubs wouldn't be allright with a locker. Still, probably a good idea as they are a lot tougher.

Mine is definitely having ARB lockers both front and rear when I've sold the Monterey to pay for 'em. It won't be cheap but I reckon this will overcome the limitations of IFS and make it an awesome laner.

Independent 4x now stocks Aussie lockers.  I think these are available for the front diff as a LSD.
