I presume that your motor is post injector recall ?

There's a few of us on here interested in getting them either chipped or re-mapped.

That's roughly what I was quoted at Donnington. It would be soooo nice to get that lost torque back.

yes the injector recal had been done . used the company you suggested chris ( turbo chip ) . goes like s..t of a shovel now . re-mapping and chipping is the same thing apparently although was told some vehicles can have the chip remapped without removing it BMW L/R etc . anyway happy to recommend so far , not told insurance yet but don't now how they would be able to tell you've had it done as it looks just like the original .

Plans have changed... just picked up a refurb Tunit box for £105 and while it gives slightly less power I am going to fit the unit and see how it goes. Figures for the chip box ... power from 159 bhp to 192bhp and from 222 lbs/ft to 270 lbs/ft.

The 3.1 does not use an ECU.  The tuning can be done though by optimising the fuel pump.  A number of companies can do this, Derv Doctor, Van Aken or Allisport.  Do a search for it on here there is a lot of infomation.

Originally I was looking at www.tunit.co.uk but then spotted the guys that did remaps (providing 210bhp) but for the price I couldnt resist this unit  Very Happy  Very Happy
