I have a W plate 3.0 Trooper Commercial (Which has had the Injector Recall and running niceley  Touch Wood!!)

I am going to change the clutch i 3 weeks time as the pedal is at the top of its travel before biting.

The High - Low ratio gear Lever is stuck, I have tried pulling with a degree of force and nothing is happening. Is there a trick to freeing or do I need to do something when I have Gearbox out

Thanks in advance

Maybe you'll need Markymoans lump hammer!

Just kidding mate, we've got some really knowledgeable 3.0 types on here and they'll be along as soon as they've finished sipping their champagne and munching caviar.... Wink

I know this may be a stupid question - but I take it you have got it in 4wd first?

(pushed the switch on the console and green light come one?)

Then dip clutch and bobs your uncle

Tried that as in Manual, no difference, 4WD switch does work as it has pulled me out of mud before.

Seems like my last L**d R***r was, needed releasing. Wondered if anyone else had had problem

Landy and Isuzu 4x4 systems are different... the landy has a central diff enabling it to be driven on tarmac etc in 4WD while an Isuzu can only be used in 2WD on tarmac.

Last used low box about 9 months ago

Put Main gear stick in Neutral, press button on dash, depress clutch and try to engage low range

Thanks

Its just a shot in the dark but either take it off road and spin the wheels or jack it up front and rear with the handbrake off.
First one is fun, second one takes but a few mins.
Its worth a try  Smile

Another thing is on Pajero's theres a pin that jumps out and jams the lever when its treated harshly.
Maybe Isuzu have the same problem  Question
